Well Under Way
As i came into Dublin i texted my friends to say i would be arriving soon. As i entered a run down estate of North Dublin in late afternoon i came down a hill at speed. A car was pulling out of a side street. It acted strangley, it edged out stopped, edged out the stopped again threatening to pull out in front of me. I went passed it, as i did the car flew out at speed. I saw the face of the driver as i passed, a young fella maybe 19 or 20. He looked angry, i realised this was dangerous. I looked around as he pulled the car out of the side street spinning wheels violently. Parents with young children nearby also looked fearful. I had to get off the road, he was turning the car towards me. I got the impression that he was aggrieved because i stopped him entering the main road without obstruction. I got off the bike and took shelter behind a small wall by the side of the road. He flew by turning back off the main road screaching the car tyres all the way. Phew. Welcome to Dublin!
I arrived in one piece at my friends in Dublin city centre. A beautiful apartment overlooking central Dublin.
I needed to rest, i had pushed my body too hard and my left knee hurt painfully.
I stayed and extra few days in Dublin to rest my knee, the pain stayed. Warming up everyday correctly is very important. I had learned an important lesson. Be more careful in future.
Used DEEP HEAT on my knee, felt a little better but not great.
I set off again heading for the WICKLOW mountains.
Stayed in a beautiful BnB over looking a scenic lake area in the mountains. This area is known as the 'Garden of Ireland' and i could see why.
Helped the woman who ran the BnB do some DIY in exchange for a few extra nights stay. This area is beautiful and i wanted to see more of it. On top of that the weather stayed fine.
I set off early a few days later heading to Wexford. Stayed at a little Bnb. Went to a bar and sat talking to some locals. Nice place.
Next day set off for the Port of Rosslare, stayed in a Hostel, met a really stupid Dutch guy.
Set off on ferry the next day for France. Bon Voyage Irelande.
