My name is Michael and i am 30 years of age, i love to travel and i find getting away on holiday is never enough. A two week holiday around whatever resort you have been thrown into is a little patronising and you feel you have to do all the things stated on flyers and broucheres that come your way. I wanted something different, i wanted to have a few months travelling at my leisure and with no deadlines and no planes to catch at a later date. No kids to worry about, no distractions. I wanted to get away, and why not get away on a push bike.

Its better to regret things you have done and not the things that you haven't

The Travel Bug

  During the summer of 2004 i was working in a dull job, working crazy hours and for little money. I decided that i wanted a change and as i have always loved travelling i decided to go on a journey. Where to i didnt really know, all i knew was the travel bug had bitten me that summer and how i felt with regard to my current job it was not going to be long before i headed off. After a little time thinking about it i decided to go to France, Paris to be Exact and it was going to be on a Mountain Bike.
